Dimapur, Sep 13 (EMN): Department of Business Administration of St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama, celebrated its 8th Convergence Fest on September 7 and 8 on the theme ‘Realise, pursue, excel.’
The fest was exclusively planned, organised and executed by the Department of BBA in which different events such as business plan, business quiz, amazing race, Mr and Ms Convergence, sales pitch, block and tackle, Convergence Idol, and dance pulse were structured to have a healthy inter-collegiate competition among the college students of Nagaland.
Neichute Doulo, CEO of Entrepreneurs Associates and chief guest, has urged the students to take the road less travelled in Nagaland (i.e.) entrepreneurship. He said Nagaland will develop only when the youth become entrepreneurs because entrepreneurs not only create opportunity for themselves but also create opportunities for others as well.
The various participating colleges were C-Edge College and St. Joseph University from Dimapur, Kohima Science College, Don Bosco College, Japfu Christian College, Capital College and Sazolie College from Kohima as well as all the departments from St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama.
Kohima Science College emerged as the overall champion of the fest.
The organising committee has, meanwhile, thanked the Entrepreneurs Associates, Young Indians Nagaland Chapter, Imlibenla Wati, Virie Angami, Elemenz and Fusion, Zaben Murry, Rovi Wazah, Vizokhotso, Lishenthung Odyuo, Achano Tungoe, Vike Pucho, invitees, parents, sponsors, the college management, alumni of the BBA department, Jakhama Students’ Union and all the well wishers for making the fest a success.
The convenor and the co-convenor of the fest were Lanchung Pamei and Khyojamo Ngullie from BBA 5th semester.
