Dimapur, July 2 (EMN): The annual inter-department basketball tournament of St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama, organised by the department of English, concluded on June 30 according to a press note. The three day event commenced on June 28 with nine men’s team and seven women’s team.
BBA department emerged as the champions beating Political Science department 52-47, while the third place was secured by the Commerce department in the men’s category. In the women’s category, Economics department defeated Political Science department in the finals with 17-10 points, while the English department secured the third place.
The MVP was awarded to Kelhoukhrielie of BBA department while the highest scorer award was secured by Nukshizulu Pongen of Commerce department in the men’s category. In the women’s category, the MVP award went to Makrami of Political Science department and Kevikieno Yakhro of Economics department secured the highest scorer award.
