It is the first ever super league in the history of the college to give platform to the enthusiastic basketball lovers to gain knowledge and experiences to nurture for bigger avenues, stated an update received here on Tuesday. The league consisted of two groups: Conference ‘A’ and Conference ‘B’ with four (4) teams each. 64 players registered for the league. The lecturers initiated to own the various teams giving them financial support, sponsorship, motivation and encouragement. The players were signed by the owners through auctioning where each team had eight players. In the league round each team played three matches and the teams topping the points table qualified for the conferences finals. Team Powerful Poseidon topped the conference ‘A’ and team Legendary Achilles topped conference ‘B’ after rounds of matches in the league. The other teams from conference A included Majestic Zeus, Mighty Titans and Fierce Kronos while in the conference ‘B’ Brave Perseus, Warrior Kratos and Gigantic Hercules. The final of the finals was played on Feb. 23 with team Legendary Achilles emerging as the ultimate champions after beating team Powerful Poseidon.
