
St. Joseph University students competing in the cosplay
category at the 4th Dynamic Fusion event on April 1.
- DIMAPUR — The
department of History, St. Joseph University (SJU), Chümoukedima, in
collaboration with the Heritage Club, conducted the 4th Dynamic Fusion on April
1.
- According to a press release, the event, themed
"History's extravaganza: unravelling the rhythm of the ages," aimed
at celebrating the rich heritage of history, promoting cultural awareness and
creativity through performance art, and providing a platform for students to
showcase their talents.
- The formal session was chaired by Hethola K Yimchunger,
sports secretary, History Department Association (HDA), followed by a welcome
address by S Thrumho, general secretary, HDA, and a vote of thanks by Chongkoi
M Khiamniungan, information secretary, HDA.

- It was stated that the main objective of celebrating the 4th
Dynamic Fusion was to showcase the rich cultural heritage through diverse
artistic expressions, where participants competed in several categories, including
classical dance, cosplay, Bollywood movie scene reenactment, poetry/shayari
recitation, and a bodybuilding competition.
- UG IV Semester won first place in the classical dance
competition, followed by UG II Semester in second place and PG II Semester in
third. Kshitiz Mukhiya (UG II Semester), Akivili N Awomi (PG IV Semester), and
Bendanginla (UG IV Semester) secured first, second, and third place in cosplay,
respectively.
- UG IV Semester took first place and PG II Semester second
for trending moves, while UG VI Semester took first place, UG II Semester
second, and UG IV Semester third for filmy scenes.
- In the poetry/shayari contest, first, second, and third
place went to Neojila B Yimchunger (PG II Semester), Ilito H Ayemi (PG IV
Semester), and Topeka K Zhimo (UG II Semester). Kiupito S. Awomi (UG VI
Semester) won first place in the bodybuilding competition, followed by
Phyobenthung Kikon (UG II Semester) in second place and H. Kiyepu Kiba (UG VI
Semester) in third place.
- The UG II Semester was declared the overall champion of all
the competitions, followed by UG IV Semester in second place and PG IV Semester
in third place. The event was coordinated by Dr. Lanuchila Changkiri,
Imkongsenla, and K. Hokato Sumi, with judging responsibilities carried out by
the faculties of the department of History.
- The event brought together diverse art forms and was
attended by 177 students, along with eight faculty members.
