
Economics department of St. Joseph University, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Start-up, Educentre and Young Indian, organised a one-day workshop on ‘Start-up entrepreneurship 2023’ at the university auditorium on February 9.
An update from the university informed that the resource persons were Rishav Sethi, HoC at NIIT; Opangtongdang Jamir, fashion model; Viseino Basumatari, co-founder of Saucy Joe’s; Awalo Keppen, assistant manager of NTTC; Albert A Sangtam, founder and director of Clefnote Music Academy; Imtisunep Lonchar, Ilandlo Services Pvt. Ltd.; and Lezo Putsure, founder and CEO of Educentre School and Business.
The objective of the programme was to make the students aware about the ‘Entrepreneurship start-up’, encourage and motivate them to start their own business and to be a successful entrepreneur themselves in order to boost the inner urge to become self-employed in the future and to be ‘job creators’ and not ‘job seekers.’
It stated that more than 100 students along with the staff and management attended the programme.
