NECU: North East Christian University (NECU) organised an interaction programme titled “Bridging borders: nursing careers in Germany” with employers from Germany to create awareness about international career opportunities in nursing.
The session brought together students, parents, and faculty members for a discussion on the future of nursing careers in the global market.
In his address, Pro Chancellor Dr. Darlando Khathing said that NECU is serious about creating genuine pathways for its students and youths to step into the international job market with confidence.
During the session, Kapil Thapa, director of PM&HR, CTC, encouraged the youth to think boldly about their future. “Your degrees are like wings. If you only fly in circles close to home, you will never know how vast the sky really is. Nursing is a profession without borders, and this programme is about helping you use your skills to explore the world, not just one place,” he said.
The programme also created space to address the apprehensions of parents and students regarding migration to Germany. Concerns such as lifestyle differences, cultural adjustments, language barriers, and safety and security issues were discussed with the employers.
Parents were assured that structured training, support systems, and guidance would be available for students to settle smoothly and build their careers abroad.
The interaction concluded with a live Q&A session. It was mentioned that the programme is scheduled to begin soon. Interested students and professionals from the general public are also invited to register their interest by writing to admissions@necu.ac.in or sending a WhatsApp message to 8131062849 for further details.
