St. Joseph University’s Fine Arts Club and Department of English host the painting workshop ‘Brushstrokes and Brews’ with artist Wapang Jamir.

DIMAPUR — The Fine Arts Club of St Joseph University (SJU), Chümoukedima, in collaboration with the Department of English, hosted a painting workshop titled "Brushstrokes and Brews" on Monday.
According to an update, the event brought together 16 participants from various departments of the university.
Wapang Jamir, proprietor of Wang Studio and a physiotherapist by profession, on the occasion shared what influenced him to become an artist.
His dual identity as a healthcare professional and a gallery owner provided a refreshing perspective to the students, proving that one can successfully pursue a passion while maintaining a steady career.
The session was structured to be both technical and inspirational. Jamir guided students through the complexities of colour theory. He demonstrated how to mix hues to evoke specific moods, helping participants move beyond basic applications to more nuanced colour palettes.
The event concluded with a mini-exhibition of the works created during the day, and certificates were given to all participants.
