Faculty of St. Joseph University, Chümoukedima, during the
celebration of its 10th foundation day on January 24.
DIMAPUR — St. Joseph University, Chümoukedima,
celebrated its 10th foundation day at the university auditorium on January 24.
The program began with the ceremonial lighting of a lamp,
symbolising tribute to the founding members, according to a press release. It
added that faculty members, students, and the university management gathered to
honour the legacy of the founder, Rev. Fr. Dr. J E Arul Raj, and the progress
made over the years.
The program featured a variety of performances showcasing
the talents of the university's students and faculty.
A special address by Prof. Charles Mhonthung Ezung reflected
on the humble beginnings of the university. He recalled how, in 2017, the
university began with just one floor of a building and has since made
tremendous progress.
Dr. D Gnanadurai, vice chancellor of St. Joseph University,
delivered the keynote address, expressing gratitude to the founder, the DMI
& MMI family, as well as the tireless efforts of both teaching and
non-teaching staff.
Dr. Gnanadurai emphasised the importance of positive
thinking, inspiring the audience to remain hopeful and optimistic about the
future.
