Dimapur, Oct. 30 (EMN): Department of English of DMI St. Joseph Global School celebrated English activity day on October 30 by conducting various competitions for the students from Classes I –IX.
An update from the school stated that all the students from Classes I-IX took take part in the competition. Students from Classes I-III had recited poem of their choice with action and intonation, while students from Classes IV-IX had competed in extempore competition.
‘If I were a doctor, what I would do,’ ‘If I were the education minister, what I would do,’ ‘Importance of English in one’s day-to-day life,’ ‘My ambition,’ were some of the topics of the extempore speech.
The school English department was of the opinion that such activity would enhance the language skills of the students.
