Dimapur, Dec. 18: St. Joseph Catholic Church, Viswema observed a thanksgiving mass on Sunday to commemorate the graciousness of the Lord and warm response from well wishers in showing solidarity and blessing the community on the recently concluded Jubilee celebration.
On the occasion, the community cherished the manifold blessings and unceasing providence of the almighty. The various factors that nurtured and sustain the church to this stage were the Jesuits fathers and their scholastics, with the support of the Diocese, some local evangelists from neighbouring villages and Bethany Sisters.Delivering the message, Nosazol Charles, chairman of Jubilee Organising Committee, highlighted the activities organized for the preparation of Jubilee. He also acknowledged the contribution of the various groups, Society of Jesus, Bethany congregation, Diocesan, well wishing benefactors, various sub-committees and community members.
Leading the thanksgiving mass programme, Rev. Fr. Immanuel SJ asked the gathering to recall the kindness of the Lord for the past 50 years.The service was presided by Rukuvito Peter, president of Catholic Union Viswema.
