DIMAPUR — Sainik
School Punglwa (SSP) hosted an inter-house elocution competition on Friday to
commemorate the 53rd anniversary of India’s victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
The event was part of the larger cycle expedition, a
campaign aimed at spreading the saga of patriotism and valour of the Indian
army, an update stated.
The competition was organised under the aegis of Spear
Corps, represented by Maj. Tamandeep and his team. The event was conducted in
two categories namely junior and senior.
In the junior category, Patkai, Shilloi, Pauna and Melak
houses participated, while the senior category witnessed competition between
Doyang, Japfu, Saramati and Tizu houses. The first positions of the two
categories were won by Melak and Saramati houses, respectively.
Maj. Tamandeep gave away the certificates to the winners and
also delivered an inspiring motivational lecture to the cadets, encouraging
them to explore promising career opportunities in the Indian Army and
highlighting various ways to join the forces.
Following the event, Col. Arvind Nautiyal, the principal of
the school, presented the school memento as token of appreciation to Maj.
