Dimapur, July 8 : The Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) has banned the group called “Sovereign Republic of Freeland” from the Chang areas. The CCSU issued a note on Friday asking the group’s active members to 'denounce' their activities or face ‘consequences.’
“With a strong affirmation and adherence to the 'Shopilak Declaration 2016' adopted during the 15th ENSF Federal Assembly on 28th June 2016 and the resolutions unanimously adopted in the Joint Consultative meeting with the Sovereign Republic of Freeland and the ENPO held on 7th July 2016 at Tuensang Headquarter, the so-called SRF is hereby banned in toto in the entire Chang area,” the note stated.
“As empowered by the ENSF, the CCSU directs the SRF to dismantle any of its based establishment/ offices within Chang area on or before the noon of 9th July 2016 and further directs the active members to denounce its involvement from the banned group. Failing to adhere to the directives, the resulting consequences will be solely borne by the SRF.”
