Various activities and awareness targeting the stakeholders of all age groups at large were organised during the six-day programme. One of the important objectives of the programme was to disseminate information on various issues concerning the girl child through media, distribution of pamphlets, etc.
Radio messages on health and nutrition, door-to-door campaign, slogan writing and painting competitions, lecture on various laws and acts, visitation to hospitals, street play, and signature campaign were some of the activities undertaken during the six-day programme.
To culminate the week-long BBBP week, a programme was held in the office of Nagaland State Social Welfare Board with the staff wherein, Bano Vinito, office chairperson, said “It starts with you….to be able to bring about the change you want to see in the future.” She further encouraged the staff to be passionate about their work.
Taking an example of the national award for BBBP for which NSSWB is the nodal agency, she emphasised that the state board was proud of the achievement and happy to see the growth of schemes and programme. She congratulated the SRCW team for their tireless contributions in making it to the top.
