SRCW conducts training for officials

Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW), a district-level centre for women, and Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) under the Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB) in collaboration with Administrative Training Institute (ATI) conducted a two-day intensive training workshop for government officials on sexual harassment at workplace from October 28 to the 31st at ATI, Kohima. The workshop was conducted for two batches for government officers from various departments,a press release from the NSSWB stated on Friday. It stated that topics such as introduction to sexual harassment at workplace and gender discrimination, gender issues, sexual harassment of women at workplace (prevention, prohibition and redressal) Act, 2013, she box, Vishaka guidelines, women hepline-181 and Sakhi- One Stop Centre were covered. Juliana Medom, NSSWB assistant state coordinator; Gracy Ayee, SRCW state coordinator; Meneno V, SRCW assistant state coordinator; Zakato Chishi, legal consultant of women helpline; Neipechau Mepfhuo, MSK women welfare officer; and Kesoneinuo Kense, MSK district coordinator; were the resource persons of the workshop. Officials from DIPR, Agriculture, Art and Culture, Water Resource, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, School Education, Evaluation, DYRS, Economics and Statistics, Forest, DUDA, Horticulture, PHED, Police, TE, NPWD, SW, Higher Education, Prison and Lokayukta attended the workshop.
