A 21-day Sports Leadership School begins in Kohima, training church leaders from six Northeast states to use sports for community outreach.

DIMAPUR — A 21-day Sports Leadership School, aimed at equipping church leaders to use sports as a tool for community engagement and discipleship, began on March 10 at Jubilee Memorial Centre in Lerie, Kohima.
A press release informed that the residential training programme is being organised by Gethemgo Sports International and has brought together 30 participants from six states across Northeast India, representing different churches and denominations.

According to the organisers, the Sports Leadership School has, over the years, trained 154 leaders across the region, including representatives from all 20 associations under Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC).
The programme features several training modules, including Go Sports, Go Play, Go All Ability, Total Fitness, The World Needs a Father, and Family on Mission, along with practical outreach activities designed to help participants apply sports-based ministry in their respective communities.
