I take this important National Martyrs' Day of the Naga Nation as an opportunity to remember and salute the Naga martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty of Nagaland. On this solemn occasion, I pray to God Almighty that the martyrs' names live for ever in the minds of the present-day Naga people and future generations to come, and that their sacrifice for the sovereignty of Naga people and land may never be forgotten. May their family members be blessed on this National Martyrs' Day of ours. May the Naga people head towards this goal of ours to fulfill our dreams for peace, prosperity and posterity in the name of our living God of the universe. May our living God bless and help fulfill His purpose for the Naga people for His glory on this earth.The Naga people are really blessed by our living God but it is unfortunate that we are badly divided because of our stubbornness, animosity and egoistic mindset towards one another in the National struggle for sovereignty. For the last so many years we have seen among National workers disparity, misconduct, and pointless quarrels. Worst of all is the killing among National workers which has blocked the way to freedom and sovereignty .This evil trend has to stop - it creates trauma, uncertainty and fear in the minds of the people. .
May the National workers realize that if this serious and dangerous trend continues then sooner or later we all will perish together in vain. May our living God save the situation and prevent the destruction.
The Nagas are blessed by God in nature, land, religion, culture and politics but we are destroying ourselves because of our selfish and narrow mindset. Let us repent and change all these destructive behaviours in the name of our living God..
Let us also work together with the right political perspective for the achievement of our freedom for the best interest of our people and land.Let us not become a destructive liability for our people and land any more.Also let us not be cursed any more by the people but be a blessing and become the real liberators of our nation.
May the good Lord bless us to achieve this goal for His glory.
Today, the NNC must appreciate and support Survival Nagaland, a strong defensive NGO for the protection of Naga people and its land in particular. The NNC welcome such an organization for the welfare of the Naga Homeland. Survival Nagaland is a bold organization having a clear stand and agenda for the protection of the Naga Homeland and its people and is totally against the illegal immigrants from Bangladesh whose very aim is to dominate the Naga people. Thus we are totally against their settlement in Nagaland in the interest of the present generation and posterity.
The NNC is also totally against the immigrants' exploitation of innocent and honest Naga people especially young boys and girls.
The Naga general public should become seriously alert about the present trend of exploitation in the Homeland.
The NNC also reiterates its stand of total support for this ancestral land of ours to remain the Nagas' land and demands the rights to the ancestral land which fully belongs to the Naga people.
Lastly but not the least, the NNC appeals to the general public especially the different NGOs,Churches,and even the state Government to jointly fight for the Naga cause of sovereignty which is inherent in the minds and hearts of each and every Naga in the Homeland. Let us fight to achieve our freedom once and for all instead of harping on the less important issues confronting the Nagas and their country. Once we the Naga people get recognized and achieve our political rights of freedom, other matters will fall into place and we can solve all the major and minor issues within no time. May this happen sooner than later.
