Dimapur, Jan. 25 (EMN): The 57th Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) concluded at Kimipfuphe ground, Kigwema on Friday evening according to a press release from SASA general secretary. Vimezhol Theyo President Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO) was the guest of honour for the closing ceremony.
In his speech, he emphasised on the need of all round sports amenities to cope with the fast changing world. He also exhorted the youths to be mentally and physically equipped.
In the football final, Kidima Youth Organisation defeated Viswema Youth Organisation 4-1 via tie breaker after the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
In individual category, Kelesal Pucho was awarded the best player in the sports meet. Kenolesa Kikhi was adjudged as the best mid fielder; best defender-Kenopol Thokhwe; best goal keeper-Zapukul Pucho and highest scorer-Dupisa Pucho.
In women’s volleyball final, Kidima Youth Organisation overpowered Kezo-Town Youth Organisation to take the title. The best setter was awarded to Kezevile Yongo of Kezo Town Youth Organisation and best spiker to Visayonu Kintso of Kidima Youth Organisation.
Phesama Youth Organisation took the men's volleyball title, beating Mima Youth Organisation in the final match. The best spiker was awarded to Vikehiezo Mejura of Phesama Youth Organisation and the best setter to Keneiso Tepa from Mima Youth Organisation.
