KOHIMA— Viewers in Nagaland can tune in on Sony Entertainment channel at 9:30 pm on Saturday to witness the performance of Mahila Band from 15th NAP (IR) at India’s Got Talent (IGT) Season 10.
In a short promo video shared by Sony TV earlier, the Mahila Band received thunderous applause from the judges, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
Nagaland Director General of Police, Rupin Sharma, has lauded the Mahila Band on their talent and wished them the best in their endeavours. He also described it as an opportunity for them to showcase their talent on the popular TV talent show.
“Nagaland Police would endeavour to nurture all talent and provide them opportunities and platforms,” he said.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Sharma further highlighted the importance of such “soft power exhibitions” in breaking taboos, challenging prejudices, and contributing to inclusive nation-building.
According to the police chief, the women of Mahila Band have not only exhibited their talent but have also opened doors for other talented individuals from Nagaland.
The Mahila Battalion members have undergone extensive training and preparation, dedicating almost 45 days to perfect their skills before auditioning for the prestigious national show, he informed.
The talented band consisted of Hav. R Shoyanla (acoustic), Hav. Tonchingsangla (bass), Cn. Sashitsungla (lead), Cn. Inaholi (rhythm), Cn. Wetsolo-u (keyboard), Cn. Tolito Shohe (vocal), Cn. Sanenla (drum), Cn. Epfutsutsho-o Akami (keyboard), NCE Nokmalemla (vocal), Nk. Lanutola (sound engineer, standby), L/Nk. Kilemyala (drum, standby), Cn. Sophia Kath (bass, standby), and ABSI Ng. Saka (band I/C).
The event promises to be an inspiring showcase of the state’s diverse talents, thanks to the dedication and support of the Nagaland Police.
