Sharing the same common interest and love for music- an enchanting evening of ‘Songs of Love’ was arranged by Nagaland Conservatory of Music (NCM) Margaret Shishak School of Music (MSSM) and N.N. Nagi School on Saturday in collaboration with artists Rebekah Moore and Noel De La Rosa.
The programme was held at the school au

ditorium where most of the local performers who were not only trained and qualified in the field of music but their talents and profound love for music made them go deeper to excel in what they are doing by learning other languages mainly in Italian, French, German and Russian as operas are mostly written in these languages besides it also helps them to understand the story and dramatic elements involved in the lyrics.

Needless to say the evening was also brightened by two other exuberant foreign artists Judy Honor a strong soprano performer from Philippine who is also currently teaching voice at NCM and Jane Van der Linden, Mezzo-Soprano from The United States.
Interaction with one of the Baritone classical male local artist and also a faculty member of NCM added a volume of information on various combinations of subjects and areas one has to undergo to learn and master music that includes classes of coral conducting, voice, instruments, music education, history of western music, Naga traditional music, music theory, sight singing and ear training and literature classes.
The euphoric evening accompanied by soulful love songs by the performers would never have been completed without Noel de la Rosa a seasoned Pianist and the Director of Studies cum piano teacher of NCM who used his magical fingers leaving another great impression on his skills in playing the piano.
