Soil & Water publishes newsletter

Dimapur, June 8 (EMN) :A newsletter called The Jhum, volume 2, on environment and development published by Soil & Water Conservation department has been released. The newsletter was released during a small function that was held at Lizutomi village on June 8 in Zunheboto district. It was released by village council chairman Hokhayi Awomi of Lizutomi village, a note from the district’s social conservation authorities informed on Thursday. The newsletter was released “in the presence” of Dinanath Bujarbarua, executive engineer of the Brahmaputra Board, the note stated. He was stated to be on a visit to Nagaland as part of the monitoring exercise of Integrated Catchment Area Treatment. “The Jhum-Vol 2 is a special edition on Integrated Catchment Area Treatment, a program of the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation and this particular issue focuses on the ongoing project works under Zunheboto district,” the press release stated.
