- DIMAPUR — The
Social Audit State Level Social Justice Assembly under the Department of Social
Justice and Empowerment (DoSJE) for the districts of Mokokchung and Tuensang,
implemented during the fiscal years 2019-2020 to 2022-23, was convened on
Tuesday at the conference hall, Directorate of Social Welfare, Kohima.
- According to an update, two schemes were audited under
DoSJE, namely Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (IRCA) and Pradhan
Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojna (PM-AJAY), covering five institutions.

- The institutions are the Good Will Society, Tuensang, under
IRCA, and the construction of hostels for SC girl students under the PM-AJAY,
including hostels at Tuli Higher Secondary School, Tsurangkong, Mangkolemba,
and Sao Chang College in Mokokchung and Tuensang districts.
- The assembly was convened to review the process, coverage,
issues, and action taken on the findings of the social audit.

- Bodeno S Colo, Secretary of the Social Welfare department,
addressed and chaired the assembly, while Imtitoshi I Jamir, Director of the
Nagaland State Social Audit Agency (NSSAA) Social Audit Unit, gave the
introductory speech. Ningsanglemba Lomou (DRP) and Kenesii Sopfu (BRP) of the
Social Audit Unit Nagaland highlighted the social audit findings.
- Key areas, including timely submission of action taken
reports (ATRs) and documents, ongoing projects, provision of basic amenities to
the institutions, institutional functioning, and others, were discussed,
culminating in the adoption of resolutions to implement corrective actions.
