As part of Swacch Bharat campaign, about 300 members of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) organised a cleanliness drive at Railway Station, Dimapur, on March 6 and also took out rally with the message for a clean Dimapur.
More than 300 members and volunteers of the SNCF marched from Supermarket to Dimapur Railway Station for a clean Dimapur by displaying placards and banners some of which read ‘Safe tree, safe world,’ ‘Be fair for green care,’ ‘Religion unites, never divides,’ ‘Change yourself to change the world,’ ‘Less pollution is the best solution,’ etc. SNCF mission was founded by Baba Buta Singh, which began in 1929 at Peshawar in Pakistan.
The message of the mission, as mentioned in the pamphlet, was completely in harmony with teachings of all the past prophets and scriptures urging them to enforce with their respective faiths and firmness.
SNCF, which is said to have spread across the country and worldwide over the years, has witnessed many national and international leaders who had come to attend its global meet.
SNCF in Dimapur was formed in the year 2002. Over the years, the foundation had organized various programmes and events for the society.
The foundation, which aims to help the society, is actively involved in serving the citizens of Nagaland by helping the needy, donating blood, etc.
Volunteers from various organization and groups participated in the cleanliness drive. Notable organizations included Muslim Council, Dimapur Bongs, Jain Samaj, Gorkha Union, Jain Yuvak Sangh etc. Apart from cleaning, the organizers also planted trees.
