DIMAPUR — The Sümi Hoho (SH) has conveyed appreciation and commendation to the Zunheboto Police for their continued dedication in the fight against drugs and illegal substances in Zunheboto district.


In a press release, the Sümi Hoho stated that the recent successful operation conducted on June 29, which led to the seizure of a large quantity of psychotropic drugs, illicit liquor, unlicensed firearms, and cash, is a significant step forward in safeguarding the lives and future of our people, especially the youth.


“We particularly laud the exemplary leadership of Dr. Kupe Kapfo, Superintendent of Police, Zunheboto, whose unwavering commitment to the safety and wellbeing of the district is evident through such impactful operations.


“The Sümi Hoho also places on record its appreciation to SDPO HQ Wanom Wallim, Officer-in-Charge Anito Y Sema, and the entire team of police personnel including the Special Operations Team (SOT) for their vigilance, coordination, and courage,” the hoho stated.

The swift follow-up actions, leading to the arrest of individuals allegedly involved in drug trafficking and illegal arms possession, reflect the professionalism and effectiveness of our law enforcement agencies, it added.


The Sümi Hoho urged the law enforcement agencies to take firm action against those involved, ensuring stringent measures are implemented as per the law to deter future crimes.


Additionally, the hoho appealed to all right-thinking citizens to extend full cooperation to the police and administration in their ongoing efforts to root out the dangerous menace from our society.
