DIMAPUR — The Sümi Hoho expressed concern and solidarity with teachers appointed under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) 2016 who had resorted to agitation after years of waiting for their entitlements.
In a press release, the hoho stated that it was disheartening to note that teachers, who were entrusted with shaping the future of society, had been subjected to prolonged uncertainty, financial hardship, and official indifference.
It further observed that the continued neglect not only undermined their dignity and morale but also directly affected the quality of education imparted to children.

The Sümi Hoho maintained that justice delayed was justice denied and pointed out that the grievances of the RMSA 2016 teachers were genuine and long overdue for redressal.
The hoho urged the Government of Nagaland to take immediate and concrete steps to resolve the matter in a just, transparent, and time-bound manner.
It also appreciated the aggrieved teachers for having exercised patience and restraint for so long in the hope that the authorities would address their grievances. It appealed that their genuine concerns be resolved amicably and without further delay so that the academic welfare of students would not be compromised.
The Sümi Hoho affirmed its support for the aggrieved teachers in their rightful demands and reminded the Government that the future of youth could not be secured by neglecting those who nurtured and educated them.
