Dimapur, Nov. 29 (EMN): Basing on its motto “Learn for excellence,” Sakus Mission College (SMC) organised an inter-higher secondary school extempore speech competition on November 29 in which 10 higher secondary schools from Dimapur participated.
Out of the 20 participants, Kavitoli Swu representing Little Star Higher Secondary School won the first position, while Vitoka from Eden
Higher Secondary School secured the second position and Renla representing Lima Aier Higher Secondary School secured the third position.
The winners were awarded with certificates, trophies and cash prize of INR 10000, INR 7000, and INR 5000 respectively, an update from the college stated on Friday.
The panel of judges of the competition were Leonard Aier, principal of City Law College, Dimapur; Along Longkumer, founding editor of the Morung Express; and Kekhreile-Ü Mezhü, advocate from Dimapur Legal Services Authority.
Other highlights of the programme included documentary screening of Sakus Mission College, and presentation of a song by Asotasen of Class-XI.
