Dimapur, June 10: State Level Sanctioning Committee (SLSC) meeting on “Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana” (PMKSY) was held on June 8 in the Chief Secretary’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Pankaj Kumar, State Chief Secretary and Chairman PMKSY for the State of Nagaland.
The chairman welcomed the senior officers of the State government HoDs of Agri. & Allied Department, other officers from M&A, CWC, GM NABARD & Dean SASRD, Nagaland University, Medziphema.
T Imkonglemba Ao, APC & Commissioner & Secretary, briefly explained about the PMKSY Scheme and the steps taken so far in line with preparation of “District Irrigation Plan” (DIP) and the State Irrigation Plan” (SIP) and the role of Agri-Allied Department involved in the programme for the implementation both in convergence as well as in the form of other interventions.
Er. Njilo Kemp, Chief Engineer Irrigation & Flood Control, presented power point in a nut shell for PMKSY, its beginning and the various components that are incorporated under the Scheme for Agri-Allied Department both ongoing and convergence/ interventions.
The detail estimated cost of the State Irrigation Plan (SIP) was projected for each component and funding pattern ie Annual Action Plan 2016-17 and onward plan.
The departments involved in PMKSY gave technical justification for the components that were proposed and accordingly the SIP was approved during the SLSC meeting and the same was formally released by Pankaj Kumar.
