Mokochung, March 21 (EMN): Defending Champion Skylark and Titans registered win in the ongoing Second Master Shield T20 Cricket Tournament at Imkongmeren Sports, Mokokchung on Tuesday.
Skylark defeated the Pirates from Wokha by 3 wickets in 13.4 overs in the first match while the tournament contender Titans won by 91 runs against JCC in the second match.
In the first match, Skylark won the toss and elected to field. The decision to field was worth because the Pirates were ball out in 13.4 overs and could only folder 49 runs. Upender took wickets while Imcharen and Lal folder two wickets each for Skylark.

With high hope for an easy victory the defending reached the target in 11.5 over with still three wickets at their disposal. Upender from Skylark was adjudged as the man of the match. In the second, match Titans won the toss and elected to bat. The Titans were cruising from the start. They completed the allotted overs by scoring 159 runs with a loss of two wickets. Longsasunep made a huge impressing for his team by scoring some excellent boundaries. His folder a total of 84 runs out not, the highest runs in the current tourney till now. The two wickets for JCC were collected by Temjenmeren and Sagar.
Entering the second inning, the JCC were not making progress to chase their target. The Titans overwhelming fielding plus excellent bowling made the JCC batmen difficult to even make a single. JCC could hardly manage to folder 68 runs from 20 overs and eventually the Titans triumph over JCC by 91 runs. Nehal Rai took two wickets and Longsasunep bagged the man of the match title for scoring 84 runs and picking one wickets.
