Skill development programme underway at Longkhim

Dimapur, July 4 (EMN): Skill development training programme for youths in the construction sector commenced at Longkhim town in Tuensang district on Monday.

The training is being organised by the Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and District Skill Committee, Tuensang, with Zynorique Initiative Society as the empanelled training partner.

In the inaugural programme, the welcome address on behalf of the department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and District Skill Committee, Tuensang was delivered by Netenba Ajem, Vice-Principal, Govt. ITI, Tuensang. A dedicatory prayer for the youths and for the training was done by Dr. Longre, Pastor, Longkhim Town Baptist Church while a short speech about the importance of skill development and opportunities in construction sector was shared by Phuleshe K Yepthomi, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Longkhim, Nagaland.

Altogether, 50 unemployed youths will be trained on plumbing and electrician job roles during the course of the programme.
