JAKHAMA — The Alumni Association of St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Jakhama, organised a career compass event with the alumni as resource persons held at the college's indoor stadium on Friday.
James Renbi Kikon, an alumni and sub-divisional officer (civil) of Kohima, spoke on the topic 'Why become a government officer’ and shared insights on navigating the path to government service. He emphasised the importance of diligence and commitment in preparing for the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) examinations during the session.
Nitoka V Swu, alumni member and director of Aspirers Study Centre, delivered speech on 'A civil service guide' by focusing on the intricacies of both Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and NPSC preparations.
Sedi Kechu, another distinguished alumni and proprietor of Urban Home Solutions, shed light on entrepreneurs' perspective and also shared his entrepreneurial journey.
The event began with a speech on career guidance delivered by Kiviboto Sheqi and followed with a welcome address delivered by Peter Vizo. It concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ruokuonuo Kesi.
