DIMAPUR — The Department of Power has announced a scheduled power shutdown on June 18 to facilitate essential maintenance work at the 132/33 kV Chiephobozou Sub-station.
According to a press release issued by the Executive Engineer of the Transmission Division, Kohima, the 132 kV Chiephobozou–Zhadima transmission line will be shut down from 9 am to 3 pm on June 18.
During the six-hour maintenance period, power supply to Tseminyu district, Wokha district, Northern Angami areas of Kohima, and the Pughoboto area will be disrupted.
The department has appealed to all consumers in the affected regions to cooperate and bear with the inconvenience during the shutdown period. The maintenance is part of routine operations to ensure the stability and reliability of the power transmission infrastructure, the release stated.
