Kohima, March 25 (EMN): The 9th edition of Silver Cup T20 Cricket Tournament organised by the Youth Department of Nepali Baptist Church Kohima will begin at the Jakhama local ground, on Mon. March 26 under the theme “Peace and unity through cricket”.
Atha C Angami, president of Kohima District Cricket Association, will grace the inaugural function as the chief guest from 9:30 am onwards.
16 teams will be competing in the 9th edition namely defending champion Whiskers Cricket Club, Komates CC, Esa Warriors, Bokajan CC, Kats XI, Valour CC, Silver Whites, Shillong Marvericks, Diphu XI, Royal Tournaquets, Kingz CC, Midland Brotherhood, Kohima Hornbills, NBC, Kohima.
The tournament will be played on knock out basis starting on March 26 and go on till April 4, 2018.
Meanwhile, the inaugural match of the tournament will be played between defending champion Whiskers Cricket Club, Dimapur and Silver Backs.
