The branch was inaugurated on June 11. In a press release, the ministry director Moarenla Amlari stated that the centre was opened to help alcoholics and drugs users to overcome their addiction through detoxification counselling, fasting and prayer. The programme was attended by Reverend Kika, associate pastor of Dimapur Ao Baptist Church; chairman and council members of Kashiram village; Maong, associate director of Prodigals Home; well wishers, family and friends, different prayer centres and ministries. Those who spoke in the programme said such centre to help addicts and alcoholics has been the need of the hour as Nagaland is facing a renewed problem where intoxicant substances are easily available. They also said that such type of centre would not only help those in need but also create awareness about addiction and alcoholism.
