“I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn against me on every side.”
“Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes.”
“With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.”
“If God is for us, who can be against us.”
We have this war to fight and the wicked threats are devious but we know what became of God’s enemies. The soldiers couldn’t triumph against Elijah; neither could the Arameans raise their hands against Elisha. We see clearly of how the heads of God’s people were raised up high and we know clearly of how God made us stood firm. The Lord exhorts us not to waver but to fight in power and authority. This war is the Lord’s and those who are with him shall triumph through him. Christ is our hope, our salvation and our security. The Church shall always triumph through Christ.
