Showers of Blessings

By Ambrose .J. Chakre Blessed is the man that trust in the Lord. That is what the Word states. Our trust in God is justified when we believe in the Word. This may sound contradictory to the unbelieving fools but these are the words of wisdom for those who believes. The scriptural passage “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.John1:1, speaks a lot about the trinity. Many preachers speaks a lot about the spirit but only a few are led by it. Trust is all about having faith in something and faith is all about believing in the unseen. Fortunate are the ones who are blessed for the kingdom of God belongs to them. Grace is a blessing and blessing is a gift but the manifestation of it is determined by the heart we have for it. We receive not because we ask not. The Word very clearly states if you seek you shall find, if you knock the door will be opened to you and if you ask it shall be given to you. The Word never lies and the truth will always prevail. If you believe in the truth. I guarantee that the blessing will be yours. Blessed is the man that trust in the Lord. Some years back our family was suffering from so many financial constrains. In the midst of these sufferings my dad played the good Samaritan and offered some amount of money to a poor patient. A week later we received a cheque of rupees ten thousand from a person who was almost a stranger to us. The blessing came in the form of a lesson for us too. The good we did to people was repaid with ten times more the amount. In our normal self helping people when we are in trouble will be the least thing we will be doing. Our faith is justified when we help people with the grace bestowed upon us. The more compassionate you are the more the blessings will flow into you. Grace is a blessing that is to be used well. You can never take possession of the gift unless you lay hold to it. In other words the blessings can never be yours unless you seek it. Abraham was accredited for righteousness because of his faith in the Lord. It was not because of his works but because of his belief in the Lord. I once received a text from a close friend which read “ God’s blessings may come as a surprise and how much you receive depends on how much your heart can believe.” The very words strucked me to the core. The way she wrote it was as beautiful as the word itself. Sometimes blessings elude us because of our failure to live by the truth. The wisdom of the Word can be expressed in a number of ways. Merits is not counted by the number of works done but by the fruit it bears. As believers we have to believe all that is said in the word. If we don’t do what we believe the promise that is given unto us will never be ours. You don’t really have to seek blessings  by starving yourself. But you can receive it through the life of faith you live. If you truly want to be blessed you have to believe that you are the blessed child of God. And if you truly live for God your life will be an inspiration to many. A true heir of God will walk in the ways of the Lord. And a true servant of God will live a dedicated life. The blessings are many and how much you receive depends on how much your heart can believe. Pray for the indwellence of the fruit of the spirit in you. And you shall feel and witness showers of blessings raining down on you. Live for the Lord and live by the spirit. This is a degree which comes from the Lord and we are expected to live by it. Live by it and live in the spirit. It is the best way to be blessed and it is also the only way to be saved. Believe in it and the blessing will be yours.
