NEC to review projects
The North Eastern Council (NEC) meeting here on Thursday will review the progress of major infrastructure projects in the country’s sensitive region bordering China, Myanmar and Bangladesh, a statement said. The two-day 64th plenary meeting of the North Eastern Council (NEC) will be chaired by union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jitendra Singh. The meeting will have sector-wise discussions on the major infrastructure projects in the region, and various ministries will give power-point presentations.
DoNER on Swine Flu
A consultative workshop on Swine Flu and other emerging infectious diseases has been convened by the Ministry of DoNER in Shillong on April 24 and 25. All State Nodal Officer (IDSP) of the North East Region along with the professors of medicine community and TB and respiratory diseases of medical colleges are expected to attend the workshop.
