Kohima, Jan. 9 (EMN): The Naga Shisha Hoho’s prayer center, Prüzie, in Kohima will celebrate its silver jubilee during January 19-20 with the slogan “To obey is better than sacrifice (1st Samuel 15:22)” at its prayer center.
Speaking to media persons, pastor Vezokho Vero of the Naga Shisha Hoho prayer centre said that the speakers during the jubilee would be Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, executive secretary of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council; Rev. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi of the Western Sumi
Baptist Akukuhou Kukhakuli; and Dr. Luozilie Sanchu, president of the Apostolic Ministries.
Speaking about the history of NSH, Pastor Vero said the 3rd Naga Shisha Hoho was permanently established at Prüzie in 1994 through the divine guidance and direction of God for the Nagas. He said the location for the present prayer centre was shown by God through divine revelation.
Further, Vero said the prayer centre faced many challenges in the face of its establishment. However overcoming all of them, the prayer center had now come to be able to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Vero said also that the prayer centre was for all the Naga tribes including Nagas living in Manipur, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Myanmar. He asked all the Naga people irrespective of denominations to participate in the jubilee celebration.
It was informed that a ceremony to unveil the jubilee’s commemorative monolith and unfurl a flag would be held on January 19 by Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho; and a worship service would be from 3pm. It was informed that on January 20 morning the service will start at 10 am, and the evening service would be from 4pm.
