Shirui Lily Festival 2019: Three bands from Nagaland to compete at ShiRock 2019

Three band from Nagaland namely The Paradigm Shift, Papersky and Fifth Note are competing at the ongoing ShiRock 2019 Band competition at Bakshi Ground, Ukhrul in Manipur. ShiRock 2019 is a part of Shirui Lily Festival, a state festival of Manipur that aims to spread awareness about conservation of the rare pinkish white flower which resembles the shape of a bell and also “to develop and implement sustainable and responsible tourism in the State” besides promoting Ukhrul as a tourist destination in Northeast. Paper Sky, a Dimapur-based band, will perform today while Paradigm Shift, a Dimapur-based band, and Fifth Note, a Kohima-based band are set to perform on Oct. 17. The three Nagaland bands along with the other bands from Northeast states will be competing for the price award of INR 10 lakh. The winner of the Shirock 2019 band competition will also open for the Extreme concert on the final day of the Festival. (Eastern Mirror Desk)
