Six-day celebration of Mokokchung 125 years Concludes
The Shillong Chamber Choir, one of India’s finest choirs has once again mesmerized the enthralled music lovers in Mokokchung on Thursday performing their most popular numbers ranging from Bollywood to Western Classical with power pack performances.
Shillong Chamber Choir a group of 12 singers, one pianist and seven musicians formed by Padma Shri awardee Neil Herbert Nongkynrih, enchanted the crowd with Ao’s favorite love song ‘Oh my first Lover (Oh Kü Mezüng meyimla)” on the culmination night of the six-day celebration of Mokokchung 125 years at Imkongmeren Sport Complex.The Crowd Puller also performed a good number of splendid medley covering - Ye Dosti, We Will Rock You, Boney M, a Khasi number and many more.
More than 30 numbers were performed as they took the centre stage leaving no excuse of disappointment from the crowd gathered in huge numbers.
Along with the curtain puller of the evening the Refiners of Ungma also shared the staged making an enormous impression with their melodies indigenous choir vocals.
