Dimapur, Sep. 21 (EMN): With the initiative of Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), 14 Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Kubolong and Chuchuyimlang availed loan from Nagaland State Co-operative Bank (NStCB), Mokokchung Branch, amounting to INR 15, 40,000 on September 19.
The loan was provided with an aim to promote the livelihoods activities and thereby enhance their household income, NSRLM statement said in an update on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, NStCB branch manager Nchumthung Kikon exhorted the SHG members to utilise the loan amount wisely and judiciously in order to enhance their income generating activities. He requested the beneficiaries to maintain timely and regular recovery. He also urged the staff of NSRLM to assist and monitor the SHGs for proper utilisation of the loan amount.
Besides, the branch manager assured to extent all possible assistance in the coming days.
Moatoshi, NSRLM assistant district programme manager, expressed gratitude to the branch manager and the staff of NSCB, Mokokchung, for their co-operation and financial assistance to the SHGs. He assured that the mission staff would monitor and assist the SHG members in every possible ways for their benefit.
