Sheanghah Chingnyu Students Union holds its general meeting and installs new office bearers for the upcoming tenure.

DIMAPUR — The Sheanghah Chingnyu Students' Union (SCSU) held its 63rd general meeting and office bearers installation programme on January 23 and 24.
According to an update, a keynote address was delivered by M Nonggang Konyak, president of SCSU. In his address, he called for unity, peace, transparency, and cooperation among the community for the progress of the student fraternity.
Following the keynote address, the induction of officials was announced by Gangjin Konyak, convenor of the nominating committee. He congratulated the outgoing officials for their dedication and efforts and the new officials, led by president-elect M Lokom Wangsa and her colleagues, on their new responsibilities.
During the report presentation, General Secretary Longpa Konyak highlighted key activities, achievements, and initiatives undertaken during the previous term, covering academic engagements, student welfare measures, and cultural activities. The financial report was presented by Nokpeih Konyak.

In the review of resolution hour, the house reaffirmed its commitment to the effective implementation of resolutions. During the discussion hour, various agendas were raised by intellectuals, ex-officials, and village elders, including the preservation of wildlife, natural resources, and sustainable environment goals.
The following day, a special prayer programme for the old and new executives was held at Sheanghah Chingnyu Baptist Church. The local pastor and the board of church members sought protection and guidance for the tenure.
Later in the evening, the executives shared opinions and ideas. The newly inducted Assistant General Secretary, Mankhat N Konyak, emphasised the importance of unity and team spirit and urged adherence to the laws guaranteed by the constitution.
