DIMAPUR — The Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF) has condemned the alleged “irrational action” against C Kiuthrun, a regional taxi driver, by unknown miscreants on September 26.

The incident occurred between Yakor village and Saddle village while he was travelling from Shamator headquarters, according to a press release.

The forum claimed that while the driver was travelling towards Tuensang with passengers for a medical emergency, his vehicle was stopped and he was threatened with a gun. However, the passengers in the vehicle intervened and saved him.

Stating that such acts are intolerable in a peaceful society, especially when someone is working for the welfare of the community, the STPF appealed to law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned until the culprit is apprehended and given appropriate punishment.
