DIMAPUR — The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) of Shamator held its meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman Arikumba at the DC conference hall in Shamator on Wednesday.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting deliberated on various issues concerning the development and functioning of the district, including road connectivity, infrastructure implementation, monitoring of developmental activities, and inter-departmental coordination.
During the deliberations, members and heads of offices highlighted issues and challenges pertaining to their respective departments, particularly those requiring coordination and intervention at the district level. The board discussed the matters and stressed the need for timely follow-up and coordinated efforts among the departments concerned.
The deputy commissioner called upon all departments to ensure regular monitoring of ongoing activities and government programmes, stressing timely implementation and addressing field-level challenges. He also noted the importance of close coordination among departments for effective delivery of public services and the achievement of developmental objectives.

The meeting also featured a PowerPoint presentation by the Agriculture department on its programmes and activities implemented in the district, followed by a discussion on strengthening agricultural interventions and outreach.
The chairman encouraged all departments to maintain regular communication, review the progress of their respective activities, and work collectively towards addressing developmental gaps in the district.
