DIMAPUR — The Seyochung Village Students' Union (SVSU) on Friday donated NPSC and NSSB study materials to Zisaji Presidency College (ZPC) in Kiphire town.


Speaking at the event, Longtili C Sangtam, president of SVSU, announced that the union would sponsor 85% of the course fees for NPSC and NSSB aspirants from the college who wish to pursue coaching in Kohima or Dimapur.


An update from the union stated that the initiative was aimed at encouraging students from Kiphire in preparing for competitive examinations and building successful public service careers.


Also speaking at the programme, the vice principal of Zisaji Presidency College, appreciated the union’s effort and highlighted that commerce, technical and market-oriented courses are much needed in Kiphire to empower students with employable skills and practical knowledge.

The college’s librarian, K Chiyuh, extended gratitude to the union for their invaluable contribution, stating that the donated study materials would be properly catalogued and made available for students, teachers and staff to enhance learning and research in the college.


Meanwhile, the union has expressed gratitude to Eduversity Institute, the lead partner for the triennial session 2025, for their continuous support, guidance and provision of necessary study materials towards the union. It mentioned that their partnership has been instrumental in helping students gain access to quality resources and educational opportunities.


It further described the effort as a meaningful step towards educational growth, community development and youth empowerment in the district.
