DIMAPUR — Seyie Auto on Wednesday inaugurated a Maruti Suzuki True Value outlet along the Kohima–Chakhabama road, about a kilometre below the BSF Camp, expanding its automobile network in Nagaland and entering the pre-owned vehicle segment.
Dealer Principal Kuolachalie Seyie said the facility will facilitate the purchase and resale of used vehicles after verification of their history and condition. Vehicles sold through the outlet will be provided with warranty and fresh documentation, offering an option for customers who may not be able to afford brand-new vehicles.
He said Seyie Auto began operations in April 2018 with an Arena showroom at Tinpatti, Kohima, and has since expanded with a service centre near the BSF Camp, an outlet in Pfutsero, a Maruti Driving School launched in 2023 and a Nexa showroom at Meriema in 2024. The company currently employs around 260 people and has also set up launch point offices in Kuda Village (Dimapur), Chümoukedima, Mohonkhola (Kohima) and Mokokchung, according to press release.
Advisor of the All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association, Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie, who attended as chief guest, spoke on global concerns over oil supply and said the automobile sector may increasingly shift towards alternative energy solutions such as electric vehicles. He expressed hope that the new outlet would generate employment opportunities for young people.
