Kohima, Aug. 17 (EMN): The additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, has ordered the sealing of various offices in the state capital on Monday following the detection of Covid-19 positive cases.
A letter addressed to the principal secretary of Home department has notified the sealing of offices as per the standard operating procedures (SOP) to contain the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
Sealed offices: Central Block, Nagaland Civil Secretariat; directorate of Social Welfare; department of Social Welfare, Nagaland Civil Secretariat; department of Under Developed Areas, Nagaland Civil Secretariat; and Gate No. II, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, have been sealed for 48 hours with effect from August 17.
It informed that the fumigation and disinfection of the office premises have been initiated following all health safety measures and SOP of the government.
“The proposed areas is mapped and cordoned off and the public and all concerned are advised to follow all safety precautions,” it stated, adding that people should maintain personal safety within the proximity of the sealed area.
