DIMAPUR — The
inaugural season of the Nagaland Super League (NSL), set to kick off on January
28 and run until March 31, promises to be Nagaland's biggest football showdown,
with seven clubs competing for the coveted crown in the inaugural edition.
According to an update, the tournament is being organised by
the Nagaland Football Association and sponsored by the government of Nagaland,
in collaboration with the Nagaland Olympic Association and supported by the
Department of Youth Resources and Sports.
The league is approved and licensed by the All-India
Football Federation (AIFF), and fans can look forward to exhilarating football
action every Wednesday and Saturday.
Matches will take place at two venues: Chümoukedima Football
Stadium, Chümoukedima Police Complex, and Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
