Seven persons injured in Diphu road mishap

Diphu, Nov. 3 (EMN): At least seven persons were severely injured in a road mishap when a Dimapur-Hojai bus lost control and hit a roadside tree.

The incident took place at Longbi Hanse village, Kuligaon of Dillai-Sarihajan road under Bokajan police station in Assam, on Tuesday.

According to sources, the mishap took place at around 10.45 am. The driver tried to escape, but was later caught by Dillai police.

Police immediately reached the place and with the help of local people, the injured persons were taken to Sarihajan Primary Health Centre at Bokajan for treatment.

Meanwhile, Bokajan MLA, Dr. Numal Momin visited Bokajan Civil Hospital and met with the victims. He later gave medical treatment to the injured persons, it was informed.
