Retired state government officers are informed that settled and final payment cases for pension and General Provident Fund settled up to the month of September 2015 have been uploaded on the Accountant General’s (AG) website.
The AG’s establishment issued a press release on Monday informing about the update.
The press release stated: “Pensioners may log on to this office web-site at www.agnagaland.gov.in by clicking at felicitation and pension or GPF felicitation or by directly clicking on the sticky note written ‘Click here to view list of settled pension / GPF final payment cases.’ The list has also been put up for display at the Public Relation Cell and can be viewed on any working days during office hours.”The AG has requested all retired government employees once again to record their personal mobile numbers in the pension documents to enable the establishment to intimate them on the progress of their pension cases through SMS.
“The SMSs will be triggered through Pension Database SMS gateway No.9402739265 and since this number is integrated with the system, pensioners are requested not to call this number but to note it down as all SMSs will be initiated through this number,” the establishment stated.
SMSs will be sent during the following stages:
• When confirmation on the pension case is received.
• When the case is sent back to the department due to observation/objections.
• When the pension case is completed.
Caution against middlemen or ‘dalals’
The AG has again cautioned against using brokers, middlemen or ‘dalals’ to resolve their cases. The AG has requested all retired state government employees again not to approach Middlemen or “Dalals” for settlement of their entitlements cases as chances of huge sums of their hard-earned money being siphoned off or ‘cuts’ are high.
“Numerous verbal and telephonic complaints have been received directly from pensioners stating that high absurd amounts are being demanded from them in the name of this office staffs. Though, most nodal officers have been noticed discharging their duties towards their former colleagues and officers with sincerity, complaints with regard to some nodal officers have also been received from their own retired departmental colleagues and officers for soliciting huge sum of money for pursuing retirement benefit cases,” the press release said.
“Outstation retired government employees are requested to immediately inform this office in case persons engaged by them to inquire on the progress of their entitlement benefits solicit percentages/cuts in the name of this Office .This office assures that strict confidentiality shall be maintained on the identity of the person writing the letter.”
Online Grievance Redress System
Also, an Online Grievance Redress System is functioning in the AG’s establishment and can be viewed on said website.
“Any person having grievance with any Entitlement functions (pension, GPF, payslips and loans) discharged by the office of the Accountant General (A&E) can record his/her grievance online. Along with text of the grievance, relevant documents can also be uploaded. Acknowledgments would be provided both via SMS and e-mail, along with status updates via SMS,” the press release stated.
Also, aggrieved pensioners are requested to write directly to the Deputy Accountant General (A&E) Kahoto J Yepthomi via e-mail at kahoto_j@yahoo.co.in or agaenagaland@cag.gov.in or send a handwritten letter to the address for immediate clarification and redress:
Kahoto J Yepthomi, IAAS
Deputy Accountant General (A&E)
Office of the Accountant General (A&E)
Kohima 797001, Nagaland
Further, all the heads of department in the state government are requested again to ensure timely submission of all retirement-related documents i.e., six months before the date of retirement, to avoid ‘harassment to retired officials at various processing stages.’
“The office as of now has been fully sensitized and is geared to settle all cases within the stipulated two months period as per commitments given in our Citizen’s Charter,” the AG’s establishment said.
