The Sentinel Cup 2014 organised by Assam Rifles kicked off to a brilliant start at the DDSC Stadium on February 17 with old rivals Dimapur Footbal Team taking on Ghoto Football Team.
The match remained inconclusive as both the teams played a draw. In the second match of the league, Urra village defeated Doyapur by 3 – 2.
In third match, Kuhoboto village comprehensively emerged victorious after beating Lilen village by a 5 goals to zero.
On the second day (Tuesday), in the first match, Kiyeto village overpowered Doyapur village by 3-1. Subsequently, in the second match Pimla village beat Lilen village by 2-0. The third and final match of day-two was played between Assam Rifles Team and Ghaspani village, it was almost a one-sided match as the AR personnel convincingly defeated their opponents by 9-1.
