DIMAPUR — In the Senior's Masters League (SML) 3 night match played in Chümoukedima on January 11, Kohima Legends produced a dominant batting display to defeat Old Boys Kohima.
Old Boys Kohima opted to field after winning the toss, but Kohima Legends posted 207/4 in 20 overs, stated an update.
The top order provided a strong start, with Viketo (24) and Veri (56) laying the platform before Tapito Thupitopr scored 91 runs, anchoring the innings.
Chasing 208, Old Boys Kohima were restricted to 136/7 in 20 overs. Meren Jamir, Kevilelie, Lanunukshi, and Wabang Jamir contributed with the bat, but the required rate proved too steep.
For Kohima Legends, Tapito Thupitopr claimed 2 wickets, while Keviselhou Sekhose also claimed 2 wickets. Thejasetuo Solo led the attack with a 3-wicket haul. Tapito Thupitopr was awarded man of the match for his all-round performance.
